Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) sits about 40 kilometres north of central Stockholm. The drive down the E4 motorway takes around 35 minutes outside peak hours, closer to 50 during the morning crunch. The Arlanda Express train is the fast alternative (20 minutes, central station only), but the chauffeur run wins on door-to-door once you factor in luggage and a hotel that is not next to T-Centralen.
